Service Advisor – Oxford

Location: Oxford
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 OTE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join a busy and successful aftersales team in Oxford. Acting as the key link between customers and the workshop, you will ensure every customer receives exceptional service while supporting the efficient operation of the service department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor or a customer service professional with automotive experience who is looking to develop their career within a reputable dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and manage service and repair bookings.
  • Accurately record customer concerns and vehicle requirements.
  • Liaise with workshop technicians regarding vehicle progress and additional work requirements.
  • Provide customers with updates throughout the repair process.
  • Prepare and explain service invoices and associated costs.
  • Promote and sell additional aftersales products and services where appropriate.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the service and parts departments.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service Advisor, or similar customer‑facing role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience using dealership management systems is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer‑focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
