Oxford Psychiatry Group is expanding its CAMHS service and we are seeking a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our clinician-led multidisciplinary team.
We are an independent practice focused on thoughtful, high-quality psychiatric care delivered within a well-governed and professionally supportive environment.
The RoleYou will provide specialist outpatient assessment and ongoing care for children and adolescents within a structured and carefully managed clinical setting.
Work may include:
- comprehensive psychiatric assessments
- diagnostic formulation and treatment planning
- follow-up reviews and medication management where appropriate
- liaison with families, schools, and other professionals
Appointments are scheduled with realistic time allocations to support safe, reflective clinical practice.

About YouWe welcome psychiatrists who:
- are on the GMC Specialist Register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or approaching CCT)
- hold a current licence to practise in the UK
- value patient-centred, evidence‑based care
- are interested in contributing to a developing independent CAMHS service
Previous private practice experience is welcome but not essential.
Working ArrangementThis is a self‑employed independent consultant role, with flexible sessional commitments agreed collaboratively. Consultants retain full clinical independence while being supported by Oxford Psychiatry Group’s administrative, governance, and referral systems.
Administrative coordination, billing processes, and operational management are handled by the practice, allowing consultants to focus primarily on clinical work.
