the role Shape exceptional learning experiences through expert organisation and academic leadership

We’re looking for a proactive Study Coordinator to oversee the day‑to‑day academic operations on site. You’ll be the key point of contact for tutors and students, ensuring classes run smoothly, lessons are well‑resourced, and any academic concerns are resolved quickly and effectively. This role requires someone who can juggle competing priorities, solve problems independently, and build strong rapport with students, tutors, and the wider on‑course team.

You’ll also enrich the student experience by delivering engaging 90‑minute workshops on 21st Century skills.

Dates

Course dates between late June and the end of August 2026

Pay details

£720.22 per week (£570 weekly pay + accrued holiday pay, paid in the final payroll)

Working pattern

Mon to Saturday, up to 44 hours per week on a shift pattern

Deputy Centre Director, Centre Director

Main duties
  • Welcome and support tutors:
    Greet tutors on their first day, ensure classrooms are properly set up, guide students to their lessons, and ensure tutors have access to necessary resources and materials.
  • Conduct lesson observations:
    Monitor teaching quality to ensure students are receiving an excellent academic experience throughout their programme.
  • Resolve academic concerns promptly:
    Address student queries and issues efficiently, whether that involves switching students between subjects, clarifying assignment details, or stepping in to supervise a class if a tutor is unexpectedly unavailable.
  • Deliver curriculum enrichment workshops:
    Lead engaging 90‑minute sessions on 21st Century skills, helping students develop essential capabilities for their personal and academic growth.
  • Communicate with head office:
    Maintain regular contact with the Academic team to manage priorities, share updates, and escalation matters that require senior attention.
  • Build positive relationships:
    Foster strong rapport with students, tutors, and the on‑site team to create a collaborative and supportive environment.
About you

You’re a natural problem‑solver who thrives in fast‑paced environments and can juggle multiple priorities with calm efficiency. You bring strong interpersonal skills and build rapport easily with students, tutors, and colleagues alike, creating a positive and collaborative atmosphere. You’re proactive and resourceful, knowing when to take initiative and when to escalate, and you’re committed to ensuring every student has an excellent academic experience.

Essential
  • Experience overseeing academic programmes or supporting academic delivery in an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to adapt and deliver curriculum content effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisation and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role).
Desirable
  • Experience working with international students and non‑native speakers.
  • Experience working in academic summer schools.
