Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and educator to join our team at Hopewell School as a 6th Grade Teacher with a focus on Math and Science. This full-time position involves creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for students, fostering their academic growth and personal development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to educational excellence, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
- Integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences and engage students.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and trends.
- Supervise and manage classroom behavior, implementing appropriate disciplinary measures as needed.
- Contribute to the overall school community through participation in meetings, committees, and extracurricular activities.
- PA teaching certification for elementary education and certified to teach grades 5 and 6.
- Experience teaching at the elementary or middle grade level.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Passion for teaching and a desire to inspire and motivate students.
