A specialist school, located in Witney, is looking for a motivated graduate to join their team full-time as an Autism Support Assistant. You will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with a primary diagnosis of Autism, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. • Provide support for pupils on the autistic spectrum, both in and outside the classroom.
• Deliver 1:1 and wider group support, alongside teachers, therapists, psychologists and other specialist support staff.
• Help deliver specialist interventions, focused around emotional regulation and promoting self-expression.
• Support creative and engaging lessons across music, cooking, drama, dance and art.
• Assist with sensory learning and restorative practices as part of the curriculum.
• Roll out other therapeutic techniques commonly used in child psychology.
• Be proactive, versatile and confident in making the best choices to support students.

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of qualified therapists and SEN specialists to support children with autism, learning difficulties and communication needs.
