ASD Support Assistant

Location: Oxford

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Scale: £89.00 - £100.00 per day

• Provide high quality assistance to pupils with an ASD diagnosis in a mainstream primary school setting.
• Support pupils with learning, social and emotional needs to build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
• Contribute to the wellbeing and inclusion of vulnerable students within the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support learning and behaviour management as required.

• Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic about supporting vulnerable students.
• Experience working with children is desirable but not compulsory.
• For this role, a Psychology graduate is considered a great fit to gain classroom experience, or someone with a background in ASD support seeking a new challenge.

This is a full-time role in a welcoming Oxford primary school, with opportunities to gain experience in supporting children's social and emotional wellbeing. It is described as a valuable stepping stone for aspiring teachers or children’s psychologists seeking classroom exposure.
