You will be responsible for designing and delivering lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student, enabling them to improve their English language skills while also providing additional support for their learning difficulties.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ lives by supporting their language development and helping them integrate into wider educational, social, and community environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* SEN and ESOL Teaching:
Deliver high-quality, differentiated ESOL lessons that are tailored to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This includes adapting lesson plans to meet the varied learning styles and abilities of each student.

* Individualized Learning Plans:
Develop and implement personalised learning plans (ILPs) that address both language acquisition and the specific learning needs of the students.

Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, tracking development in both ESOL and SEN goals. Provide feedback to students, parents, and other professionals involved in the student's education.

* Differentiation:
Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to ensure that lessons are accessible to all students, including those with visual, auditory, or physical impairments, as well as those with cognitive or emotional needs.

* Collaboration with Other Professionals:
Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to ensure that the needs of each student are met comprehensively. Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings when necessary.

* Behaviour and Emotional Support:
Implement positive behaviour strategies and provide emotional support to students who may face challenges related to language barriers, cultural integration, or other social-emotional needs.

* Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and any incidents or issues that require attention, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and educational standards.

* Support Transition:
Provide support for students transitioning into mainstream education or further community integration, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to succeed.
