Graduate Academic Coach – Secondary School
Location: Oxford (OX4)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Term Time Only)
Salary: £480–£520 per week

Step Into Teaching are recruiting Graduate Academic Coaches to join a supportive secondary school in Oxford (OX4). This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN education.

The Role:

As a Graduate Academic Coach, you will support students across the secondary curriculum, providing targeted academic and pastoral support. You will work closely with teaching staff to help students stay engaged, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group academic intervention sessions

  • Support students during class-based learning activities

  • Assist with behaviour management and student engagement

  • Work alongside teachers to prepare and deliver learning activities

  • Monitor and support student progress across core subjects

Who We’re Looking For:
  • Graduates with a 2:2 or above Honours degree

  • Strong GCSEs (A*–C / 9–4) in English, Maths, and Science

  • Confident, enthusiastic, and approachable individuals

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate young people

  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to student success

  • Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
