This Outstanding 11–18 secondary school in Oxford is recognised for its consistently strong GCSE and A Level results, well-established leadership team, and structured operational systems. The school serves a diverse academic community and maintains high expectations around assessment integrity and examination compliance.

Examinations play a critical role in the school’s success. Systems are rigorous, deadlines are carefully managed, and compliance with JCQ regulations is a top priority. The school has a stable senior leadership team and strong administrative infrastructure.

Due to internal restructuring, the school is seeking an experienced and highly organised Exams Officer.

Role Overview

The Exams Officer will manage all internal and external examinations processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating GCSE and A Level examinations
  • Managing exam entries and amendments
  • Liaising with exam boards
  • Organising invigilators and exam timetables
  • Ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations
  • Managing access arrangements
  • Preparing examination rooms
  • Processing results and post-results services
  • Maintaining secure exam storage procedures
  • Producing examination reports for leadership

This role requires precision, confidentiality, and the ability to meet strict national deadlines.

Assessment & Administration Structure

The Exams Officer works closely with the Data Manager, SENCO, and Deputy Headteacher (Assessment).

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience working as an Exams Officer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage high-pressure deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
