Job Overview
Teaching Assistant – Mental Health – Oxford
This role supports students aged 4 to 16 who have social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help learners achieve academic and personal goals and support the class teacher with behaviour management, lesson preparation, tidiness and phonics practice.
ResponsibilitiesSupport learners with education and therapy, ensuring they reach age‑appropriate milestones; provide classroom support, manage behaviour, prepare lessons and assist with phonics.
QualificationsEducation or psychology students or recent graduates; experience with children is beneficial but not essential. Desired qualities include calm, compassionate, confident, initiative and adaptability.
