We are seeking a passionate and driven Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a well‑regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long‑term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and high‑quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).

• Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous).
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work effectively.

• Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to departmental planning and school activities where appropriate.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• A degree in English or a related subject.
• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

• Experience teaching GCSE English Language & Literature with strong results.
• A track record of raising attainment and supporting student progress.
• KS5 (A‑Level) teaching experience.
• Familiarity with current exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
