CARETAKER (Contract)

Required as soon as possible – 25 hours per week, temporary until 31 December 2026.

Salary:
Grade 5 £ 17,286 – £17,840 (Full time equivalent £25,584 – £26,403).

Closing date: 9am Wednesday 10th June 2026.

Wheatley Park School seeks a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to become part of our school family. The role goes beyond physical maintenance; you will create a safe, inspiring, and well‑cared-for environment that allows our students to thrive, setting up for school concerts and assemblies and ensuring classrooms are ready for new learners.

• Maintain buildings and grounds.
• Set up facilities for school concerts and assemblies.
• Ensure classrooms and learning spaces are ready for daily use.
• Support the smooth running of the premises during a six‑month review of departmental structure.

• Practical, hands‑on approach to maintenance tasks.
