Job Description

The Oxford School of Drama is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Arts Administration Intern to join our team from September 2026.

This hands‑on, entry‑level role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience across a busy and ambitious conservatoire, working in admissions, productions, marketing, student services and operations.

You will work closely with students, tutors, visiting creatives and staff, gaining a unique insight into how one of the UK's leading drama schools operates. Alongside day‑to‑day responsibilities, you will also lead a longer‑term project shaped around your interests and the needs of the School.

This role is ideal for someone at the start of their career who is organised, positive, curious about the arts and eager to learn.

Contract:

10 months fixed‑term (September 2026 – July 2027)

Hours:

Monday‑Friday, 9:15 am – 6:15 pm

Salary: £20,833 pro rata (FTE £25,000)

Location:

Oxford School of Drama, near Woodstock (own transport required)

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate auditions and support live showcases across the School.
  • Assist with production operations and backstage support.
  • Contribute to marketing activities and social media presence.
  • Help run student services and daily operational tasks.
  • Lead a longer‑term project to meet School needs.
Job Requirements
  • Passion for the arts and curiosity about how a conservatoire works.
  • Positive, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Organised, able to juggle a varied and sometimes unpredictable workload.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable with students, staff and visiting professionals alike.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, close‑knit team.
  • Digitally confident; able to pick up new software and systems quickly.
  • Full driving licence and access to own car.
