Overview

Grade 5: £32,108 - £37,338 per annum. This is an exciting new position in the Faculty of Law which will support the successful delivery of the Professional Development Portfolio of Programmes. The postholder will work with the Professional Development Operations Manager and the Director of Professional Development Programmes. The postholder will help implement plans for the establishment of a sustainable, research‑led Professional Development Programme area.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate scheduling of courses for the Professional Development Programme course portfolio.
  • Assist the PDP Operations Manager with contract preparation.
  • Act as first point of contact for business clients, participants, and tutors.
  • Prepare and update promotional and publicity material.
  • Prepare marketing plans to recruit participants for all open and online programmes.
  • Manage marketing budgets and deliver against agreed targets.
  • Control orders for goods and services, raise sales invoices, conduct costing and pricing exercises, and ensure adherence to departmental tendering and purchasing procedures.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering courses, events, or professional development programmes, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Evidence of developing and delivering marketing and communications activities to recruit participants.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Higher Education sector and some understanding of the legal sector is advantageous.
  • Previous experience using digital design applications such as Adobe InDesign and/or Canva for creating brochures and marketing materials is desirable.
Terms & Conditions

The post is fixed term for 2 years, full time, with the possibility to request part‑time (minimum 0.8 FTE). The Faculty supports hybrid working, with staff required to be on site at least 40% of the working week. The postholder will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL
