Company Description
The Oxford Exchange designs and delivers high-quality education and training programs in Oxford and Cambridge for students and schools from around the world. The organization specializes in 2‑6 week intensive courses based in residence at Oxford or Cambridge Colleges, offering an immersive academic and cultural experience. Programmes emphasize small‑group teaching, academic rigor, and close engagement with tutors. The Oxford Exchange also runs international programmes abroad, giving learners access to a broad, global perspective.
Applicants join a collaborative, academic community focused on inspiring intellectual curiosity and creative growth.
This is a part‑time, on‑site Tutor in Creative Writing role based in Oxford. The tutor will plan and deliver engaging creative writing seminars and workshops for small groups of international students enrolled in intensive courses.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and course materials, providing individual feedback on student work, facilitating discussions on literary techniques and genres, and guiding students through drafting and revision processes. The tutor will also assess student progress, contribute to the design or refinement of course content, and maintain accurate records of attendance and assignments. Collaboration with program coordinators and other tutors to ensure a consistent, high‑quality learning experience is expected.
We are hiring for three different courses this summer:
1) 5 July to 18 July,
2) 3 August to 18 August,
3) 20 September to 27 September 2026.
Successful applicants who fit in well with our programmes will be offered roles for subsequent years. Sadly, our CW Tutor of the last three years has a family emergency to address and cannot commit to the role this summer.
