Activate Learning has an exciting opportunity available for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our teaching team based at City of Oxford College.

This role centres on delivering our A-level Art course, including Fine Art, alongside providing A-level tutorial support. It offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven teacher who is committed to inspiring students to realise their full potential, develop key personal attributes, and grow into confident, lifelong learners.

This is a
permanent, part-time role working 22.2 hours per week (0.60 FTE) based at City of Oxford College.

What do you need to be successful as an Art Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as positive role models for our students and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. We want teachers who can ensure that students leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification or working towards a teaching qualification.
  • Have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree within an Art
  • Have recent teaching experience in an FE environment and a proven track record of managing and tutoring student groups
