The Astrophoria Foundation  Year Programmeseeksto appoint aTeaching Associate for theAstrophoria

Foundation Year Preparation for Undergraduate Studies (PUGS) course.

This role is equivalent to0.12

FTEbut will be0.2

FTEin term time (30 weeks).The post holder willbe responsible for delivering the PUGS Course. The AFYProgrammecomprisesthe Preparation for Undergraduate Studies(PUGS)
Course alongside subject specific teaching (the AFY Courses areCEMS (Chemistry, Engineering and Materials Science);
Humanities (Classics, English, History,Theology and aselectionof associated joint courses);
Law;andPPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics)).The post holder will produce and deliver the PUGS Course material and set and mark relevant summative assessments. The teaching will be delivered both to groups and individual students and an applicant wouldbenefitfrom being able todemonstrateexperience of both settings.

The Astrophoria Foundation  Year Programmeis a one-yearfully-funded foundation programme for UK state school students with significant academic potential, who have experienced severe personal disadvantage and/or disrupted education which has resulted in them being unable to apply directly for an Oxford undergraduate degree programme.
