Student Disability Support Administrator St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford
The position of Student Disability Support Administrator in the Faculty of Law is an exciting new opportunity to provide specialist administrative and operational support for disabled undergraduate and postgraduate students within the Faculty of Law. Supporting the Faculty's Student Disability Lead and Co-ordinators, the postholder will co-ordinate disability-related support and reasonable adjustments, acting as a key point of contact for students, colleges, academic staff and relevant central University services, maintaining a high-quality, compliant and consistent approach to disability support within the Faculty, in line with University policy and statutory obligations.
The Student Disability Support Administrator will report directly to the Head of Academic Administration, and will work closely with the Head of Academic Administration for postgraduate student matters and the Academic Administrator for Undergraduate Studies for undergraduate student matters respectively.
Candidates should have experience of working in a complex administrative or professional services environment within higher education or a comparable organisation; working with disability-related processes, reasonable adjustments or student support services, or clear evidence of relevant transferable knowledge and experience; handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion, professionalism and sound judgement; ability to deal professionally and sensitively with individuals in difficult or emotionally charged situations, exercising sound judgement and resilience and strong organizational skills.
A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work and knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion issues in an educational or public-facing context is desirable.
The post is fixed term for two years and full time, with the possibility to request part time working (minimum of 0.8 FTE). You will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL
. The Law Faculty supports hybrid working and currently requires all staff to be on site at least 40% of their working week.
