Our Beauty Therapy courses cover a variety of subjects which include, gel nails, manicures, pedicures, nail art, themed face painting, skincare, waxing and massage.

Activate Learning is recruiting for an exciting maternity cover opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Beauty Teacher to inspire and develop the next generation of beauty professionals at our City of Oxford College campus.

Teaching and assessing predominately across Levels 1, 2 and 3, you will be a confident, enthusiastic individual that can demonstrate real passion in delivering purposeful and practical lessons whilst recognising individuals’ talent.

This is a fixed-term, part-time role working 23 hours (0.62) based at our City of Oxford College campus. Working days for this role are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The contract ends in October 2027.

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

You will have a minimum Level 3 qualification or above in Beauty Therapy, recent experience, and up-to-date knowledge of the beauty therapy industry to develop the skills of the future generation.

Whilst previous teaching experience and qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications to teach beauty therapy and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

• Level 3 or above qualification in Beauty Therapy and experience as a beauty therapist is essential
• Assessors award or willingness to work towards within the first 3 months is essential
• It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential
• You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
