Health & Social Care is a thriving and increasingly popular subject within our school, attracting strong student uptake at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The subject provides students with valuable knowledge and skills that prepare them for progression into healthcare, social care, mental health, early years, nursing, teaching and a wide range of related professions.

As Subject Leader, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the department, ensuring a high-quality curriculum, excellent teaching and learning, and outstanding student outcomes.

The Department At Key Stage 4, students follow the OCR Cambridge National in Health and Social Care, with two teaching groups in both Year 10 and Year 11.At Sixth Form, students can progress onto: OCR Cambridge Advanced National in Health and Social Care (Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification)
OCR Cambridge Advanced National in Mental Health:
Individuals and Society (Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification)
