Biogas Site Operator

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit an Operative for their site near Oxford.

The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £34,108 + overtime, callout payments and excellent benefits package

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Site Operator role

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
Take part in the on-call rota
Monitoring the pant via the SCADA
Keeping the site clean and tidy
Maintaining high levels of health & safety
Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training is essential
Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
Full UK Driving Licence

Personal skills

The Biogas Site Operator role would suit someone who is:

Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
Mobile plant experience
First line maintenance experience
Agricultural experience is highly desired
Great work ethic
