Biogas Site Operator

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company owns and operates a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit an Operative for their site near Oxford.

The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £34,108 plus overtime, call‑out payments and an excellent benefits package.

• Support with the day‑to‑day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
• Carry out basic first‑line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
• Operate mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
• Take part in the on‑call rota
• Monitor the plant via the SCADA
• Keep the site clean and tidy
• Maintain high levels of health & safety
• Other duties as required

• Telehandler/Loading shovel/Tractor licence or in‑house training is essential
• Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
• Full UK driving licence

• Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
• Mobile plant experience
• First‑line maintenance experience
• Agricultural experience is highly desired
• Great work ethic
