Role Overview

A commercial‑leaning Building Inspector role for candidates registered Class 2D and above (2E, 2F, 3H). Work is predominantly commercial buildings, complex structures, and higher‑risk environments, with occasional mixed‑use or larger residential elements. Ideal for inspectors confident in commercial compliance, fire safety, structural review, and multi‑disciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Lead inspections on commercial projects including retail, industrial, multi‑storey, and complex buildings.

Review plans for compliance across structure, fire safety, accessibility, energy, and building services.

Carry out site inspections, identify non‑compliance, and provide clear corrective guidance.

Manage relationships with contractors, developers, architects, and fire authorities.

Produce accurate reports, maintain digital records, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycle.

Support junior inspectors and contribute to technical standards across the team.

What You'll Bring

Registered Building Inspector (Class 2D, 2E, 2F or 3H).

Strong commercial building regulations knowledge and experience with complex structures.

Ability to interpret structural, fire engineering, and M&E documentation.

Confident communicator with strong technical judgement.

Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a varied commercial caseload.
