Platform Engineer – Linux + Kubernetes – to £75k Oxford | Hybrid

Our client is looking for a Platform Engineer to help design, build and maintain the infrastructure supporting complex engineering workloads. This is a hands‑on role focused on platform reliability, scalability and performance
, rather than application or ML development.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Design and manage Kubernetes clusters
• Maintain and optimise Linux‑based infrastructure
• Run and scale containerised services
• Work with networking, storage and distributed systems
• Build automation and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions
• Support engineering teams by maintaining reliable platform environments

You may currently be a Platform Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Kubernetes Engineer or SRE
.

Experience we’d love to see:

• Container technologies such as Docker
• Understanding of networking and distributed systems
• Experience supporting infrastructure platforms or compute‑heavy workloads

Exposure to automation tools, Python scripting or cloud platforms would also be beneficial.
