Senior Project Manager - Structures

Location: Oxfordshire

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in structural engineering / structures delivery to lead and manage multi-million pound capital projects across the council's portfolio.

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure and structural schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with council priorities, statutory requirements, and community needs.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

Lead the delivery of large-scale structural and infrastructure projects (e.g., bridges, highways structures, public realm, buildings, or civil structures).
Manage the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, and handover.
Ensure projects meet time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.

Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary interface between the council, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Engage effectively with internal departments, elected members, residents, and external agencies.
Prepare and present reports, briefings, and updates to senior leadership and committees.

Working hours:

37 hours a week min
Monday to Friday
Weekly Pay
Hybrid - Mainly from Home
