Roadside Technician – RAC

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. You’ll work within the Oxford cluster covering Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Witney, Bicester, Thame. You will start and finish your day at home, focusing on getting members back on the road in your local area.

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle tasks such as flat battery, tyre change, and complex fault‑finding, providing quick, confident solutions and reassurance to members.
• Work demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.
• Maintain a customer‑focused approach and uphold the RAC brand.

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of post‑qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Strong base pay of £36,400 and realistic OTE of £61,000, with top performers earning more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
