About the team and role

Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd (AHUK) is the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer. The Oxford site is Britain’s civil helicopter hub and provides sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support for civil and military aircraft. AHUK operates an in‑house engineering capability that includes design, customisation, installation, flight‑testing, certification, technical support, training and spare parts supply for a range of helicopter products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan line maintenance activities in liaison with customers and AHUK Customer support teams
  • Supervise and manage a nationwide engineering support network
  • Maintain the line planner and availability record sheets
  • Provision spare parts, workpacks and engineering resources to task
  • Monitor and control deferred defects, husbandry defects and technical queries
  • Deputise for the Regional Manager during periods of absence to maintain continuity
  • React to aircraft on‑ground (AOG) situations and unplanned emergent work in collaboration with the Regional Manager
  • Carry out staff competency assessments when required
  • Attend customer sites as needed
  • Liaise with Oxford Base engineering teams before and after base maintenance interventions for effective handovers
  • Assist the Regional Manager with line station oversight and customer liaison activities when required
  • Ensure adherence to company policy and procedure, regulatory compliance and support audits as required
  • Investigate and rectify non‑conformances
Knowledge & Skills – Essential
  • 5+ years experience with Airbus Helicopters products
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Understanding of Part
    145 and PartCAMO regulations
  • Experience of line and base maintenance requirements for Airbus Helicopters
  • Customer liaison experience with a variety of customers
  • Knowledge of mission and role equipment
Knowledge & Skills – Desirable
  • Operational planning experience
  • CAMO experience
  • Line station management experience
  • Familiarity with SAP and Envision systems
Education, Qualifications or Training – Essential
  • B1.3 or B2 UKCAA Part
    66 licence with Airbus Helicopters type ratings (at least EC135 and H145)
  • Driving licence
Education, Qualifications or Training – Desirable
  • C rated UKCAA Part
    66 dual‑rated B1.3 and B2 licence
  • BEng or BSc in Engineering or a related discipline
Additional Requirements
  • Subject to National Security Vetting – SC clearance generally required (requires residence in the UK for the last five years)
  • BPSS check mandatory for all successful applicants
  • Compliance with Export Compliance Regulations, including UK and ITAR regulations
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom – no visa sponsorship available
  • Police and MOD vetting checks required
  • Occasional travel to subcontractors, Airbus facilities or overseas projects
