• Carry out surveying and setting‑out duties on site
• Review drawings and quantities to ensure accuracy
• Plan and organise site activities to meet programme deadlines
• Coordinate materials and liaise with procurement teams
• Communicate with consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team
• Supervise site labour and subcontractor performance
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
• Maintain quality records and resolve technical issues
• Arrange material testing and calibration of instruments
• Keep accurate and detailed site records and diaries
• Identify and implement improvements on site
• Support the Site Manager and Section Engineer as required

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management
• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
• Strong setting‑out and surveying skills
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Experience on highways, rail or public‑realm projects (desirable)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS and surveying equipment (desirable)
• Understanding of construction materials and testing processes (desirable)
• Valid CSCS (or equivalent), Health & Safety knowledge and First Aid certification
