Salary: £27k-£35k DOE + Profit Related Bonus

Job Outline:

Our client who specialise in the Design and Manufacture of Laser Systems and components are now looking to add a new member to their team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and creative Mechanical Design Engineer to help design bespoke machinery for laser processing applications.

You will be responsible for the life cycle of client’s projects from concept through to final customer delivery. Each project is bespoke and built on site therefore giving you the opportunity to see the design through to completion.

You will be required to produce accurate and detailed production drawings using CAD for both the in-house workshop & Sub-Contractors and liaising with the engineering manager to ensure project time-frames are met.

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering degree or equivalent, advanced 3D Software experience, a Mechanical Engineering background and strong modelling skills using Autodesk Inventor.

Knowledge of Laser processing would be a desirable advantage, however, is not essential.

Experience:

• CAD experience is essential
• Autodesk Inventor
• Experience in the design of electro-mechanical mechanisms
• Strong modelling skills
• Engineering Degree essential
