Senior Instrumentation Engineer

We're supporting a globally recognised engineering and aerospace organisation in the search for a Senior Instrumentation Technician to join a highly specialised test and development team based in Oxfordshire.

You’ll be at the heart of complex testing programmes, working with advanced instrumentation, data acquisition systems and specialist test equipment to support the development and validation of cutting‑edge engineering products.

• Selecting, installing, calibrating and maintaining instrumentation systems
• Working with data acquisition and signal conditioning equipment
• Setting up and analysing data from accelerometers, load cells, transducers and other sensors
• Supporting complex test programmes from preparation through to data analysis
• Designing, building and testing specialist electronic circuits and control systems
• Fault‑finding and resolving issues across instrumentation and test equipment
• Driving continuous improvement activities within the test environment
• Mentoring and supporting junior technicians within the team

• Strong instrumentation or test engineering experience
• Hands‑on experience with data acquisition systems (Dewesoft, DTS, NI, HBM or similar)
• Proven fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Experience working within aerospace, defence, automotive, motor sport, rail, marine or other highly regulated engineering environments
• A practical, methodical approach with a passion for testing and continuous improvement
