Our client is a well-established, medium-sized structural engineering consultancy based in Oxford, delivering innovative and practical design solutions across a diverse range of projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Structural Engineer to join our friendly and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate structural engineer to develop their technical skills, gain exposure to a wide variety of projects, and work alongside experienced engineers who are committed to supporting your professional development towards Chartered status.
AboutThe Role
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and heritage buildings. You will work closely with senior engineers and project teams, assisting with structural analysis, design calculations, drawings, site inspections, and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities Will Include- Assisting with the structural design of buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Preparing calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
- Producing and reviewing engineering drawings and models.
- Undertaking site visits and inspections.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other consultants.
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction.
- Working towards professional accreditation with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and/or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
You Will Ideally Have- A degree (BEng, MEng, or equivalent) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A keen interest in structural design and engineering excellence.
- Familiarity with structural design software is advantageous but not essential.
