Programme Manager

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager / Programme Manager to join a fast-paced environment on a contract basis.
This is a key project management role responsible for driving a New Product/industrialisation project through procurement and supplier quality activities from concept through to initial scale-up of production, ensuring programme milestones are achieved, and supplier readiness is delivered on time.
The ideal candidate will come from a fast-paced engineering background, with a strong understanding of programme delivery, supplier industrialisation, APQP/PPAP processes and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Key accountabilities:
Lead Procurement & Supplier Quality activities across new product introduction and engineering change programmes.
Act as the key interface between Procurement, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Programme Management, Manufacturing and Operations teams.
Manage procurement timing plans, supplier nominations, RFQs, tooling orders and supplier onboarding activities.
Drive supplier readiness through APQP, PPAP, tooling and capacity planning activities.
Coordinate prototype procurement through to prototype build phases.
Monitor programme risks, maintain RAID logs and report status to senior stakeholders.
Support BOM costing activities and new business opportunities where required.
Deliver programme dashboards, KPI reporting and executive updates.
To succeed, you will ideally have:
Proven Procurement and Programme Management experience within fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environments
Experience coordinating multiple work streams across procurement, engineering and supplier quality functions.
Strong knowledge of supplier development, industrialisation and programme launch activities.
Technical background in engineering and /or R&D
A background of project managing within the engineering sector is essential
Microsoft Project / MS Project
Prince 2, APMP or similar project management expertise desirable
