The Opportunity Arden White Aviation & Aerospace Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Airworthiness Engineer to join a world-leading helicopter manufacturer at its Oxford Airport operation.

Oxford is the company's UK civil helicopter hub, supporting helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance, engineering, certification, technical support and spares activities across civil and military aviation.

As part of the CAMO team, you will play a key role in maintaining the continuing airworthiness of the aircraft fleet, ensuring maintenance programmes, technical records and airworthiness documentation remain compliant and up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review technical information from regulatory authorities and OEMs, including Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, modifications and repairs.
  • Develop, review and implement Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMPs) and associated aircraft configurations.
  • Provide support during Airworthiness Reviews and ARC extensions.
  • Conduct repetitive defect and reliability analysis.
  • Review and update aircraft flight manuals where required.
  • Review technical logs and enter aircraft utilisation data into the maintenance information system.
  • Support line and base maintenance planning activities.
  • Prepare and review maintenance variations.
  • Manage materials planning and raise reservations or purchase requisitions for required materials.
  • Update aircraft and engine records following maintenance task completion.
  • Ensure component log cards are returned to the appropriate materials management team.
  • Provide cross-functional support across the CAMO function.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAMO processes and procedures.
  • Identify potential airworthiness or operational issues proactively and support appropriate corrective action.
About You

We are looking for an experienced aviation professional with a strong understanding of continuing airworthiness and CAMO processes.

You should have:
  • A good understanding of Part-CAMO continuing airworthiness requirements.
  • Experience working within an aircraft maintenance, CAMO or airworthiness environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they impact operations.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise across different levels of an organisation.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience working with maintenance or airworthiness management systems.
  • Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters products and technical documentation would be highly advantageous.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, or equivalent qualification such as NVQ or BTEC.
  • Aviation-related degree or equivalent qualification desirable.
  • Recognised Part-CAMO training desirable.
  • Recognised Part-145 training desirable.
  • Aviation Human Factors training desirable.
Additional Requirements

Due to the nature of the role, candidates will be required to obtain DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC Clearance.

Applicants must also meet all applicable Export Compliance requirements.

The Role

The Airworthiness Engineer will be responsible for the management and production of maintenance programmes, review of airworthiness documentation, maintenance and materials planning, and maintaining accurate aircraft technical records.

£30.00 per hour PAYE

£40.11 per hour Umbrella
