We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful engineering operation based in Burford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer looking for a stable days-based position, with the added benefit of regular overtime opportunities to increase earnings.

• Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Working on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, motors and associated mechanical equipment
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Minimising machinery downtime and maintaining production efficiency
• Working safely and in line with company procedures
• Assisting with installation, modification and improvement of machinery where required

You should have:

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualifications or apprenticeship
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A proactive approach to maintenance and reliability
• Good health & safety awareness

• £47,000 basic salary
