About The Role
Join our team and cheer on our fantastic runners at the Oxford Half Marathon on Sunday, October 11, 2026, as they speed by world‑famous museums, universities, parks and more on this one‑of‑a‑kind run. This is a fantastic opportunity to show runners how much we appreciate their dedication to supporting Alzheimer’s Society while helping to create a memorable, uplifting atmosphere for all runners.
Responsibilities- Using provided cheer materials to make as much noise as possible and cheer on our runners.
- Be part of the team creating a high‑energy and encouraging environment for participants.
- Are friendly, energetic and enjoy being part of a large event.
- Want to gain experience in events or use your existing skills to benefit a great cause.
- Regular contact with the event team in the weeks before the event.
- An on the day contact who will greet you and support you.
- A volunteer t‑shirt.
- Snacks and drinks while you volunteer.
