To support the organization’s growth, they have created a new opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join their Oxfordteam. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options.
Qualifications- Ideally CIPP qualified with 3-5 years UK payroll experience.
- Experience with in an accountancy/bureau environment is highly desirable.
- Strong IT skills and able to pick up new software packages very quickly.
- Highly organised, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to prioritise workload effectively and work in a flexible manner.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
- A self-starter with a with a high level of resilience.
- Demonstrates a strong team spirit but also very effective working independently.
- A positive “can do” attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide payroll services to portfolio of clients varying in size and complexity
- Process payrolls on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis (or as directed)
- Process starters and leavers, calculating statutory payments, RTI submissions, pension deductions etc.
- Set up PAYE scheme with HMRC and cease schemes when needed
- Act as primary contact with HMRC for all PAYE related matters
- Calculating auto enrolment pension deductions and ensuring compliance
- Uploading pension contributions and starters to appropriate pension portals
- Submit HMRC RTI information, FPS and EPS ensuring deadlines are met
- Preparation of P45s, P60s, Starter Declarations and other relevant forms as required
- Liaise directly with clients to ensure accuracy of payroll data and answer phone queries, resolve problems and provide payroll support
- Communicate with clients, other staff, Directors and the HM Revenue & Customs
- Support clients in the day to day running of payroll systems
- ‘Go to’ person for members of the Oxford payroll team
- Hybrid working after successful completion of your probationary period (three days in the office and two days at home)
