Position: Finance Assistant (part-time)

This opportunity allows you to support a vibrant charity on a part‑time basis. You'll help keep their vital finance operations running smoothly while gaining valuable experience in a meaningful environment.

Note:

This is a part‑time, temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis and will require an immediate start; lengthy notice periods cannot be accommodated.

Working hours:

22.5 hours per week, split over 3 or 5 days.

Temporary Part‑time Finance Assistant Responsibilities
  • Processing sales ledger activities, including raising invoices and debt chasing using Sage 50 to support cash flow and financial health.
  • Managing purchase ledger tasks, including processing supplier invoices via the Expense In platform, ensuring prompt and accurate supplier payments.
  • Uploading and verifying reports in Sage 50 to ensure precise financial tracking and compliance.
  • Payment runs and performing bank reconciliations to keep accounts balanced and transparent.

  • Proficiency in chasing overdue debts via email or telephone in a professional manner.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
