Interim Accountant (Qualified or Finalist-Level)

Rate: up to £300 per day PAYE

We’re looking for a confident and capable qualified or part-qualified accountant to join our Group Reporting Finance team on a temporary basis. You’ll play a key role in managing month-end close, multi-entity accounting, and group reporting in a fast-paced environment.
This role is for a leading biotechnology research client, offering exposure to a dynamic and innovative sector.

• Manage month-end close for multiple EMEAI entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journals with strong attention to detail.
• Lead group-level close for accruals, prepayments, and investment bonds.
• Perform cost‑centre variance analysis for Finance and HR.
• Support half-year and year-end reporting, including audit preparation.
• Liaise with local advisors across Europe (English required; other languages a plus).
• Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Provide ad hoc support across the wider Finance team when needed.

• Qualified or finalist-level accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
• Solid background in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills; good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Microsoft D365, Blackline, and SharePoint desirable.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently under pressure.
• Team player with excellent communication and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
