Finance Manager

Overview

I’m partnering with an innovative, technology-led SME based near Oxford to appoint a qualified Finance Manager into a broad, hands-on role within a growing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating across both day-to-day financial management and strategic oversight in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You’ll take ownership of core finance operations while supporting leadership with high-quality financial insight and planning.

This role would suit someone who thrives in an SME or start-up setting, enjoys improving processes, and is comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisors.

• Produce monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Monitor and optimise cash flow
• Prepare full statutory accounts
• Bank and control account reconciliations
• Manage supplier payments and oversee credit control
• Oversee payroll with external providers
• Support VAT returns and statutory compliance submissions
• Support investor reporting and reflect grant/loan repayments

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax regulations
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
