A key leadership position, alongside the Chairman and Managing Director, on a long‑held and successful commercial and rural property estate split between Central London and Oxfordshire.

Retirement has given rise to the opportunity for a new Finance Director to join and play a fundamental role in supporting the family and trustees as they look to ensure the Estate’s vitality and careful custodianship into the future.

• Provide the Estate’s in‑house financial leadership – acting as the first point of reference for financial and tax planning across the Estate and delivering efficient and comprehensive financial management and reporting.
• Take a leading role in the successful execution of selected strategies and opportunities across the Estate as well as representing the Estate’s interests with third parties such as lenders and advisers.
• Work closely with the Estate’s advisers to implement the key elements of capital tax planning and management that is inherent to the Estate’s structure.
• Play a crucial part in the Estate’s meetings and governance structure and develop a close working relationship with the family, including supporting the management of their financial and tax affairs.

• A qualified accountant with a well‑grounded, commercial perspective (that ideally includes experience of property‑based asset management) as well as an empathy for long‑term, family‑owned businesses.
• A collegiate executive who enjoys the challenge of a working week that spans from the strategic to hands‑on execution and who thrives in a highly collaborative, non‑hierarchical working environment.
• A consummate professional who has an eye for detail and has the intellectual agility and curiosity to embrace working within an organisational structure that includes a number of trusts with their capital tax planning and management requirements.
• A confident executive who has the gravitas and communication skills to contribute to and influence decision‑making at the most senior levels.
