Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy Oxford are proud to be exclusively partnering with a growing organisation in Central Oxfordshire who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with transactional finance experience looking to develop their career within a supportive and continuously growing business.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices, credit notes, expenses, and credit card statements
• Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger and supplier accounts
• Prepare supplier payment runs and process remittances
• Resolve accounts queries and support month-end activities
• Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Post disbursements and ensure finance procedures are documented
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a finance, accounts, or transactional finance role
• Experience in accounts payable, receivable, billing, or credit control
• Exposure to reconciliations and month-end processes
• Strong Excel and finance systems knowledge (e.g. Sage, Xero)
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong organisational and communication skills
