Finance Controller

A leading developer of advanced optical, and optoelectronic technologies is now looking for a Finance / Business Controller to manage the UK operations, and report to the European Head Offices.

Working closely with the UK Management and European Head Office, you will support the financial performance of the UK manufacturing.

Partnering with the Sales, Production and Operations teams, you will improve profitability, strengthen business performance and drive operational excellence.

You will provide financial insight, challenge business decisions with data, help optimise production efficiency and support sales growth.

Acting as the finance business partner for Sales, Production, and Operations across the UK manufacturing with support from the European Head Office.

As Finance Controller you will develop and maintain reporting and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making; lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Working closely with plant management you will monitor productivity, capacity utilization, and cost drivers. And identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and cost performance.

Supporting standardisation of financial processes and reporting across the companies, you will ensure accurate monthly reporting, variance analysis, and management commentary.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant discipline.

Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in Finance and Business Control, managing a UK Site whilst reporting to a European Head Office.

We are seeking a strong understanding of production costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing KPIs.

Through your previous roles, you should have experience supporting commercial teams with sales and profitability analysis

Strong analytical skills and the confidence to challenge the status quo are required.
