Responsibilities

• Reduce road casualties through the annual Traffic & Road Safety Programme, including:
• Activeand sustainable travel projects
• Traffic and safety improvements
• Speed management schemes
• Renew and maintain traffic signs and road markings
• Investigate andrespondto public enquiries about traffic and road safety, Supportinga Senior Officer in delivering traffic and road safety services across the Oxford City district. Key duties include:
• Inspecting and maintaining the signs and lines network
• Preparing work details and overseeing contractors
• Responding to enquiries and coordinating with councillors and the public
• Assisting with programme delivery for projects like crossings, speed limits, and signage
• The role is based at County Hall, Oxford, with flexible and agile working options. Site visits for inspections and project supervision are required.
• Self-motivated, able to workindependentlyand as part of a team
• Willing to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Diplomatic and able to engage positively with the public and officials
