Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director who will be designated to become Chair of the Quality Committee from April 2026, following the planned transition of the incumbent. This appointment offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping quality, safety and patient experience across a large and complex NHS organisation.

This is a part-time role, approximately 3 days per month.

Main duties of the job

As a Non-Executive Director, they will share collective responsibility for the leadership, performance and governance of the Trust. Working alongside executive and non-executive colleagues, they will provide independent oversight, constructive challenge and strategic support, ensuring the Trust continues to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.

As Chair of the Quality Committee, the role-holder will lead the Board's assurance on quality, safety and clinical governance, overseeing the Trust's approach to continuous improvement and learning. The Chair will work closely with executive leaders to ensure that quality considerations are embedded throughout strategy, operational delivery and system partnerships.
