Job Summary
This busy department has a vacancy for a band 6 Specialised Clinical Physiologist. The department offers a wide range of specialist investigations, including Adult, Paediatric, and Neonatal Electroencephalograms (EEGs – Wake and Sleep), Evoked Potentials, Ambulatory, Video Telemetry, and Polysomnography Sleep recordings, both Routine and Urgent Services.
Responsibilities- Specialise in Adult, Paediatric and Neonatal services, in an area of interest aligned with service needs.
- Perform investigations such as EEGs, Evoked Potentials, Video Telemetry, and Polysomnography Sleep recordings.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of departmental protocols through in‑house training.
- Contribute to training and assessment where desired.
- Provide evidence of research into the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Clinical Neurophysiology Department.
- RCCP registered.
- BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.
- ANS professional body Part 1 success or desire to obtain this qualification.
- Appropriate knowledge of the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Clinical Neurophysiology Department.
- Experience with complex EEG investigations (desirable).
- Experience with Sleep Services (desirable).
- Current UK professional registration.
Band 6
Salary: £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, pro rata.
Contract:
Permanent, full‑time.
