Specialised Clinical Physiologist; Neurophysiology

Job Summary

This busy department has a vacancy for a band 6 Specialised Clinical Physiologist. The department offers a wide range of specialist investigations, including Adult, Paediatric, and Neonatal Electroencephalograms (EEGs – Wake and Sleep), Evoked Potentials, Ambulatory, Video Telemetry, and Polysomnography Sleep recordings, both Routine and Urgent Services.

• Specialise in Adult, Paediatric and Neonatal services, in an area of interest aligned with service needs.
• Perform investigations such as EEGs, Evoked Potentials, Video Telemetry, and Polysomnography Sleep recordings.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of departmental protocols through in‑house training.
• Contribute to training and assessment where desired.
• Provide evidence of research into the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Clinical Neurophysiology Department.

• RCCP registered.
• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.
• ANS professional body Part 1 success or desire to obtain this qualification.
• Appropriate knowledge of the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Clinical Neurophysiology Department.
• Experience with complex EEG investigations (desirable).
• Experience with Sleep Services (desirable).
• Current UK professional registration.

Band 6

Salary: £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, pro rata.

Permanent, full‑time.
