Position: Lead Pharmacists for Manufacturing and Accountable Pharmacist

Lead Pharmacist for Manufacturing and Accountable Pharmacist

Main duties of the job
  • Accountable Pharmacist for Clinical Trials Aseptic Services (CTAS): manage, lead, and coordinate the unlicensed unit providing injectable Investigational Medicinal Products, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, and high‑risk injectable medicines to all Trust divisions.
  • Prepare aseptic doses for around 150 trials, ensuring GCP and GMP compliance, and support compliance with national and international legislation.
  • Line‑manage the Production Manager(s) for the Radiopharmacy & Hyperpolarising Gas Units, ensuring services run in compliance with Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) licences and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Lead training, quality system development, worksheet and labelling system improvements.
  • Act as role model and source of expert advice for pharmacy and clinical staff on aseptic preparation and ATMPs.
  • Support building and commissioning of a new CTAS facility to enable an extensive research portfolio.
