Youll provide practical and personal support while also encouraging independence, social opportunities and new experiences. In return, youll have the opportunity to become part of an individuals university journey and make a meaningful difference along the way.

Free accommodation provided while on shift Holiday: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata About Our Client Our client is a History student living on the St Hildas College campus at the University of Oxford. He has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and requires support with aspects of his personal care, medication, daily living and social activities. He is an independent young man who is excited about living away from home and developing his confidence and independence  values having his own space and will communicate when he needs it, so the ability to provide support while respecting personal boundaries is important.

He enjoys reading, particularly history, and loves a good conversation. His interests include Doctor Who, politics and political history, theatre (especially Shakespeare), cinema, quiz shows, video games and a wide variety of music . He also enjoys classic films, including old horror films and James Bond, as well as action and comedy. He describes himself as a bit of a geek and has a great sense of humour.

He is keen to get involved in university societies, clubs, talks and other activities and would love a PA who is positive, open-minded and willing to try new things with him. In his own words: I am roughly 1.6 metres high with a slight build. I enjoy disability athletics at the weekend when I am at home. I am easy going with a good sense of humour, also can be geeky, kind and caring.

I enjoy reading (especially history books), video games and hanging out with friends. My interests are watching Doctor Who, politics and political history, reading, theatre (particularly Shakespeare), cinema and watching quiz shows. I also enjoy a good chat, and I have a very varied taste in music! I love classic old movies, James Bond, action and comedy as well. Personally, I am a bit of a geek!

I try to be as positive and enthusiastic as possible, although I am still finding my confidence. If possible, I would like to be a part of a few societies and clubs, as I would like to develop my independence and just enjoy all aspects of student life. Working as part of his support team, your responsibilities may include:
Personal care:
Supporting with bathing, dressing and toileting. Health care:
Administering medication and assisting with medical equipment. Daily living:
Cooking, shopping and helping with day-to-day tasks. Appointments:
Accompanying him to medical and other appointments when required. Social support:
Supporting him to attend activities, clubs, societies, talks and social events. Domestic support:
Helping with general housekeeping and keeping the accommodation clean and tidy. Promoting independence:
