Transplant and Urology provides a diverse range of specialist inpatient, outpatient and surgical services, supporting patients with complex needs from across the region and beyond. The successful candidate will provide visible clinical and operational leadership, support workforce development, quality improvement and governance, and play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care. The role offers the opportunity to influence service development, lead change and contribute to the ongoing success and growth of Transplant and Urology services across Oxford University Hospitals.

You will work closely with the Matron, Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teams to provide leadership across Transplant and Urology services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care and an excellent patient experience. The role supports operational management, workforce development, governance, quality improvement and patient safety, while helping to deliver the Directorate's strategic objectives. The Deputy Matron will provide senior leadership during periods of operational pressure, support patient flow, admission and discharge processes, and work collaboratively with clinical and site teams to identify and manage risks, maintain patient safety and ensure effective use of capacity.
