Call for Talks – Oxford Digital Humanities Summer School
We are organising a 5‑day Wolfram Language workshop, “Analysing Humanities Data:
An Introduction to Knowledge‑Based Computing with the Wolfram Language,” at Oxford’s Digital Humanities Summer School (July 4‑8). We seek one or two experienced Wolfram Language users to deliver a 45‑minute to 1‑hour presentation on topics relevant to humanities research.
Potential presentation topics (examples):
- Geospatial and geocomputation
- Network analysis
- Graphing & plotting
- Time‑series analysis
- Introduction to machine learning
- Sound analysis & sonification
- Using Mathematica with R‑Link
Speakers will receive: accommodation (up to two nights), covered travel within the UK, and support in preparing materials. If you would like to stay longer, you may give a second talk or assist with running the class.
The workshop schedule:
We are particularly interested in talks that cross disciplinary boundaries and help demonstrate the Wolfram Language as a bridge between the humanities and other research areas.
