The role

As a Client Solutions specialist within Forward Deployed Engineering at digi

Lab, you will be responsible for:

  • Staying up to date with sector developments including competitors, trends, technologies etc
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Utilising domain knowledge and customer relationships to identify new business opportunities
  • Providing demonstrations/presentations, attending events/conferences, creating articles and enhancing digi

    Lab visibility and credibility
  • Providing customers with technical support throughout the pre-sales process
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of digi

    Lab’s product and services
  • Communicating the value and benefits of digi

    Lab’s products and services to potential customers.
  • Working to deepen your understanding of digi

    Lab’s products; identifying sector challenges The Uncertainty Engine can address, and sharing insights to shape product development and team learning
  • Designing, scoping and building technical solutions, working with our internal teams to contribute to produce client proposals including cost and time estimates
  • Ongoing technical support and domain expertise in the delivery of digi

    Lab services and products
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your technical skills and domain knowledge
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a client-facing role involving delivery of technical solutions through configuration of commercial software products with demonstrable impact
  • Strong communication skills, with a clear ability to dissect complex technical concepts, and explain them to stakeholders with a range of technical competencies.
  • Computationally competent, with experience of using Python, and knowledge of data analysis, modelling & simulation
  • A strategic mindset - able to recognise and analyse opportunities and capabilities
  • The ability to travel regularly to clients, and to the Exeter, Bristol or Culham digi

    Lab offices
  • A strong interest in building technical business partnerships, guiding product and technology roadmaps to capture market opportunities.
  • A motivation to master a range of technology areas such as data science, machine learning, and uncertainty quantification, in an industrial context
  • Technical domain expertise within one or more of the following domains: nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, environment / renewables, cyber security and defence, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, advanced materials, digital, or systems engineering.
Location

This role can be based at our Culham office near Oxford, our Exeter Headquarters, or in the Bristol area with the intent to be office based at such time as digi

Lab has a local presence. The role will require travel to client sites and attendance at conferences both within the UK and occasionally internationally.

As an ambitious, rapidly-growing start-up, we’re looking for proactive, adaptable people who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our standard working hours are 9.00–5.30pm, Monday to Thursday, though some flexibility outside these hours may be required to meet business needs.
